Skunk Control by Blizzard Pest Managementskunk control

Damage:

Skunks dig conical holes in lawns and gardens in search of grubs and worms. They also burrow under houses to make their dens, enlarging access holes and potentially weakening foundations.

But the most disturbing aspect of skunks is their odor. If skunks are nesting near a house, the potential of coming in contact with one and getting sprayed is significantly increased.

Detection:

Look for conical shaped holes three to four inches deep in lawns and gardens. Other indications are burrows under houses and their infamous smell. Remember though that skunks don't have an ongoing odor, just their spray smells.

Get Rid of Them:

Deterrence is the best option for skunks. Seal all cellar and basement doors or any access areas under the house. Keep all food and garbage out of sight and sealed.

Integrated Pest Management

A healthier approach

Having pests doesn't necessarily mean using harsh chemicals and killing wildlife. Blizzard utilizes several methods for remediation:

Exclusion - Offer pests an exit without the chance of re-entry

Catch and Release - Humane wildlife trapping with relocation

Deterrence - A pest-specific "scarecrow" is often the best remedy for certain pests

Integrated Pest Management

Green Initiative

Protecting the environment

People typically associate pest control with deadly poisons and noxious chemicals. Blizzard Pest Control believes that there are healthier ways to control household pests AND be environmentally concious.

By embracing Integrated Pest Management practices and applying pest control solutions in effective and measured doses, we eliminate pests and help to reduce waste and pollution.
